At 57 meters, the
yacht Fleurtje has extremely elegant lines. The long overhangs at bow and stern,
the rich Awlgrip blue hull and 3 Douglas Fir masts with stay sail plan, combine
into a handsome profile.
Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure are in splendid condition having
been recently faired and repainted. The acclaimed Naval Architect Gerald
Dijkstra was brought in to optimize sailing performance, thus resulting in
considerable speed and handling improvements.
Since launch, Fleurtje has undergone 4 refits and been maintained to Lloyds
class standards. Such is the degree of ongoing improvements that she is now,
certainly, one of the finest 3 masted schooner afloat.
